Project overview

Over the past 1.5 years working with Kadai, we produced a wide range of short-form social content focused around food, fire cooking, local businesses, and live events. A large part of the work involved creating recipe-based content — capturing the full cooking process using Kadai firebowls and turning it into engaging, fast-paced social media videos designed to feel natural, premium, and visually satisfying. Alongside this, we also produced interview-led content with local businesses including Ludlow Brewery, Rowton Vineyard, and The Beefy Boys — creating personality-driven videos that felt authentic to each brand rather than overly scripted or corporate. The wider project also included promotional reels for events, product showcases, social-first edits, and ongoing branded content designed to improve Kadai’s overall online presence and visual identity.

project process

Our process was built around creating content that felt engaging, natural, and easy to consume on social media — while still maintaining a strong premium visual feel. For recipe content, this usually involved planning the shoot around the cooking flow itself: capturing ingredients, fire preparation, cooking sequences, close-up food shots, and atmospheric details that helped the videos feel immersive rather than staged. For interview and business features, the focus shifted more toward personality and environment — filming conversational moments, location details, food/service shots, and natural interactions that made each business feel genuine and approachable. From there, the footage was edited into short-form pieces tailored for platforms like Instagram and TikTok, with pacing, music, sound design, and shot selection all built around keeping attention while still feeling grounded and brand-appropriate.
